Ianthe Zabel

Ms. Zabel brings more than twenty years of diverse earned media communications experience, spending the last decade leading and implementing strategic communications plans on financial services issues.

Previously, as Deputy Chief Public Communications Officer of the Investment Company Institute, Ms. Zabel developed and led proactive external communications campaigns related to registered funds and their advisers. Prior to that, she served as Director of External Affairs at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, leading the agency’s government affairs and communications teams. As the Communications Director for the House Committee on Ways and Means, Ms. Zabel served as the Chairman’s spokesperson and communications strategist.

She also worked as the Director of External Affairs for Fortune 6 UnitedHealth Group, focusing on integrating strategic communications with government affairs and corporate social responsibility communications. She started her career as a news reporter.

Ms. Zabel graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and serves on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Minneapolis chapter.
