Patomak Global Partners is seeking a Talent Management Coordinator in our Washington, D.C. office. We are a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consultancy that applies the insights of senior-level industry experts to advise clients on complex and cutting-edge strategy and risk management challenges. Our small team is becoming larger, and we are seeking an individual who can help drive transformation within the employee lifecycle experience while working among a team of talented individuals committed to supporting our organizational goals. You will also have a unique opportunity to be exposed to multiple areas of human resources including operations, talent development, and talent acquisition.


  • Assist senior Patomak leadership in tracking junior level staffing availability for client projects, as well as implementing systems to help ensure that client engagements are efficiently staffed and that employees are matched with projects that fit their skills and interests
  • Assist with payroll operations as well as benefit enrollments and changes
  • Maintain the personnel files of Patomak employees, providing reports as needed such as job requirements, job descriptions, and time-off tracking
  • Serve as the main point of contact to staff for HR-related questions
  • Coordinate staff training opportunities as well as all-staff retreats, team building events, and recruiting events
  • Support the growth of Patomak’s HR processes and enforce company policies
  • Manage critical HR operation functions such as new hire onboarding, orientation, offboarding, internal projects, and key risk mitigation efforts
  • Manage recruiting activities, including drafting job descriptions, tracking applicants, posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and follow-up communication with applicants
  • Process background checks and employment eligibility verifications
  • Maintain and enhance HR systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time


  • Entrepreneurial drive to continuously improve processes, results, and experiences
  • Five years of experience in human resources or office administration
  • Experience as a talent manager at a top consultancy or as an associate coordinator, paralegal coordinator at a leading law firm is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of HR practices including recruitment, compensation, performance appraisal, labor codes, training, and development
  • Knowledge of how to build systems to track and reward performance is preferred
  • Knowledge of key HR functions, including employment law, benefits administration, onboarding, and HR best practices
  • Ability to be efficient, flexible, motivated, resourceful, and organized to perform a diverse multi-functional role
  • Ability to think innovatively and with a problem-solving mindset
  • The ability to work concurrently on multiple priority projects and apply good judgement in prioritization
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail with a focus on confidentiality
  • Basic proficiency and comfort with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and payroll software
  • Strong ability to build relationships and foster positive team collaboration

This position uses a hybrid model where you will come into the office two full days each week.  Evening work may be required occasionally.
