Mr. Lucia focuses on a range of regulatory, strategy, and compliance matters for clients in the financial services sector. In his practice, Mr. Lucia works to ensure clients effectively navigate complex landscapes to achieve their strategic objectives.
Prior to joining Patomak, Mr. Lucia held various positions on Capitol Hill, most recently serving as Staff Director to the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Capital Markets. In that capacity, he managed the Committee’s securities and capital markets portfolio, including its capital formation agenda and its oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to that, he served as Senior Counsel to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, where he led investigations, conducted transcribed interviews, and managed a broad range of inquiries on behalf of the Ranking Member.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lucia was an attorney in private practice in New York, where he represented private equity and hedge fund sponsors in connection with the structuring and formation of their private funds.
He earned his J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School, his M.P.P. in business and government policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and his B.A. in political science, summa cum laude, from Monmouth University.
