Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Type: Full Time (in office 5 days/week)
Location: Washington, D.C., right across the street from the White House

Patomak is looking for an accounting professional at the Associate level to manage revenue accounting and support the Accounting Manager in all functions, including financial reporting, planning and analysis, and internal and external audits. This position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Overview of Job Duties:
- Manage the project timekeeping system which tracks time, expenses, and invoices – generating reporting, training users, and implementing system upgrades.
- Provide reports on project management and personnel data.
- Generate and submit customer invoices/statements utilizing customer vendor management systems.
- Respond to contractor billing questions and ensure proper payment.
- Process vendor bills and review expense reports.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts and receivables.
- Maintain financial documentation/reporting and support internal/external audits.
- Support remittance and calculation of state and local taxes (SALT).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, specifically in accounting or finance. CPA or advanced degree in accounting preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in receivables and/or general accounting.
- Proficiency working with automated timekeeping systems.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, especially Excel and SharePoint.
- Experience using accounting software, such as Sage Intacct or QuickBooks Online.

Salary Range:
$75,000-$100,000
Salary will be commensurate with experience; eligibility for an annual performance bonus based on individual performance and firm performance.
