Mr. Mitchell advises financial services firms on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, and policy issues, with a focus on digital assets and cryptocurrency. At Patomak, Mr. Mitchell has led and consulted on digital asset and cryptocurrency projects for industry leaders including digital asset trading platforms, multinational banks, and national retailers. Mr. Mitchell also manages workflows for Patomak’s expert testimony engagements.
Prior to joining Patomak, Mr. Mitchell was an associate at a global law firm where he handled complex litigation, conducted internal investigations, and provided strategic advice to clients including banks, private equity funds, and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Mitchell’s work has also included representing venture capital funds and emerging technology companies in seed-stage to late-series equity investments.
Mr. Mitchell served as a law clerk to the Honorable Susan H. Black of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He received his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and his B.S. in economics from George Mason University.
