Ms. Cohen brings over forty years of experience working in the global financial services industry with a focus on strategy, change and crisis management, compliance, regulatory matters, and business growth initiatives.

Most recently and for the past twenty years, she served as Managing Director, Chief Legal Officer, and Head of Regulatory Affairs for ING in the Americas, with significant operations in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. In this role, she served as a member of ING’s Regional Management Team, where she was responsible for strategic direction, growth, and governance throughout the Americas region. Her responsibilities included serving as a member of the Executive Management, Operational Risk, and Compliance Committees. She regularly provided advice on business growth and expansion opportunities, major organizational restructurings, high profile transactional matters, risk management, and regulatory and operational change management.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Cohen honed her business and risk management skills working in similar capacities for other major global financial institutions, including BNP Paribas, WestLB, and Republic N.Y. Corporation. In each of these positions, she was deeply involved in major business and strategic initiatives and became well versed in the business and regulatory aspects of complex financial products such as derivatives, structured finance, corporate finance, and investment management. She successfully navigated complex, high-profile cross-border matters involving new and existing businesses, regulatory investigations, cross-border litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Cohen also brings deep expertise in the unique regulatory and operational issues faced by foreign banks operating in the United States.

Ms. Cohen has deep experience in corporate governance matters, having served as an independent director of KebHana Bank USA and as a member of its asset liability, audit, and compliance committees. She has received Directorship Certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and holds an NACD Certification in Cybersecurity Oversight. She serves leadership roles in various professional organizations and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Ms. Cohen received her B.A. in political science from Herbert H. Lehman College and her J.D. from New York Law School. She has been active in a variety of civic and charitable activities, including serving on a number of non-profit boards, such as the Museum of American Finance and as Chair of the New York Astronomy Association.
