HSBC Holdings PLC said Friday it has appointed Kathleen Casey as a Director with effect from March 1 2014.

Casey was Commissioner of the US Securities & Exchange Commission from 2006 to 2011, acting as the regulator’s principal representative in multilateral and bilateral regulatory dialogues, the G-20 Financial Stability Board and with the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.
