Mr. Lux advises numerous companies, including those focused on consumer credit provision, wealth management, insurance, and technology/cybersecurity. He has performed due diligence for many of the largest private equity deals that have been done and has worked with a broad network of financial services C-suite executives. He sits on the boards of numerous companies, such as Flagstar Financial, Mphasis, and Greensky.

Mr. Lux began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he served various financial services firms across an array of subsectors and functional areas for over 20 years. He eventually led McKinsey’s private equity practice, and then he moved on to become the Chief Risk Officer for J.P. Morgan Chase (all consumer products globally) during the 2008 financial crisis. Later, he joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he was a senior partner for five years and helped build a private equity practice while serving financial institutions. Mr. Lux was the first person elected senior partner at BCG and built the private equity practice to several hundred million dollars in billings.

Mr. Lux is an active thought leader on financial services issues. He is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He serves as a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, Senior Advisor to the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, and Senior Fellow to the Program on International Financial Systems, the latter of which was at Harvard Law School.

His most recent studies have focused on trends in initial public offerings, marketplace lending, community banking, and credit card and mortgage markets and have been cited in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and The New York Times. He has also presented his research before the Federal Reserve Board, the U.S. House Small Business Committee, and various universities and trade groups. Along with his client work, Mr. Lux has done dozens of pro bono assignments and served on several non-profit boards. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York.

Mr. Lux received his MBA from Harvard University and his A.B in public and international affairs from Princeton University. Mr. Lux is the first person in his family to attend college.
