Mr. Hudson brings more than twenty years of banking and supervisory experience. He advises clients on a variety of strategic initiatives, bank regulatory, and risk and compliance matters. His expertise includes agency filings, exam preparation, issue remediation, investigations, and enforcement actions.

Mr. Hudson previously served as Deputy General Counsel to a financial holding company and its regional bank, where he advised on transactional, structural, and governance matters. He also provided guidance regarding new product and service evaluation, development, and implementation.

Mr. Hudson’s broad experience includes spending more than a decade with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas serving as a Senior Attorney, Director of Examinations, and bank examiner. His expansive knowledge includes regulatory relations, enterprise risk, compliance management systems, enhanced prudential standards, capital planning, expansionary activities, affiliate transactions, and retail banking. He began his career as a bank examiner with the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions.

Mr. Hudson also teaches banking law and regulation at Southern Methodist University. He was recently selected to serve as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association banking law committee and is an active member of the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel. 

Recognized as a thought leader in the industry, Mr. Hudson is often invited to speak about bank supervision, financial technology, and the evolving regulatory landscape. He has had articles published in The Banking Law Journal, Business Law Today, and Financial Insights.

Mr. Hudson received his B.S. in finance from Louisiana State University, J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, and LL.M. with a focus on financial services from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. He also completed the executive education program at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
