Patomak Partner Sudhir Jain Appointed as Member of CFTC Agricultural Advisory Committee
Washington, D.C. — Patomak Global Partners, LLC announced today that Sudhir Jain, a Partner in Patomak’s and Head of New York Office, has been appointed as a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC).
The CFTC announced the committee’s members on April 10, 2026. The AAC serves as a vital information source to promote and advise on sound policy that impacts millions of farmers and ranchers across the country. Chairman Michael S. Selig re-launched the committee to ensure that agricultural growers and producers have a seat at the table and that the agency’s regulations are adapting to market and consumer needs.
Mr. Jain is one of 37 distinguished individuals appointed to the committee, joining representatives from leading agricultural organizations, commodity trading firms, financial institutions, and industry associations.
Mr. Jain commented on his appointment:
“I am honored to serve on the CFTC’s Agricultural Advisory Committee alongside such a distinguished group of market participants and industry leaders. Agricultural derivatives markets are foundational to the U.S. economy, and I look forward to contributing to the Committee’s work to ensure these markets remain robust, well-regulated, and responsive to the needs of farmers, producers, and all who depend on them.”
Mr. Jain’s work in Patomak’s derivatives area has helped expand the firm’s capabilities in derivatives and commodity markets. His appointment to the AAC reflects Patomak’s deep understanding of market and regulatory dynamics.
